History and Vision

milkleaf is a multimedia contemporary dance company creating interdisciplinary work that engages and inspires diverse audiences and communities through performance, outreach, and education. Charlotte Griffin  founded milkleaf as a Southern California nonprofit in 2024 to:

1.

Facilitate 21st century choreographic practice and multidisciplinary artistic collaboration to generate work across a broad technological and aesthetic field.

2.

Develop and maintain a multimedia archive of works by milkleaf and its founder, Charlotte Griffin.

3.

Cultivate personal excellence, collective responsibility, and freedom of expression in next-generation dance artists through high quality dance education.

4.

Inspire audiences and the broader milkleaf community through shared cultural experiences that spark a lifelong appreciation for dance and the performing arts.

5.

Embrace local and global partnerships that foster socially conscious and community minded efforts through meaningful dialogue and exchange.
